Tomorrow my cousin, Candace, has her cancer operation @ VGH. She has cervical cancer; it is still undetermined if she has lymph node involvement. If the frozen section determines this, she will have radiation. However, if there is not, she will have a radical hysterectomy. You are in my thoughts and prayers little cousin. xoxo Stay strong . . . you'll be fine.
Today I just developed what feels like a head cold - headache, sniffles, sore ears. I will watch who gets booted off of So You Think You Can Dance and then hit the hay.

Hang in there Lisa, I am sure a head cold is NOT what you needed right now! I think I should make some scarves for you. I will go look this weekend for some material. What is your favorite color?
Did you know I will be having a "Princess" show up at my big birthday bash! And her dad is paying for my whole party!!!! I am such a lucky duck!!!

Yes, the head cold is a pain but it is a chemo thing . . . and so are my sore fingernails. :( NOTHING is near the pain of my worst day ever and so whatever I say . . . it's all easy.
I didn't know you could throw a needle :) I was out and bought a scrarf at VV of all places. The problem with wearing the scarf is that there is a fine line between
"Hey I am doing chemo" and "Hey, I'm doing chemo and I am healthy". Yes - color matters. I am not sure just yet what will bring out my eyes heehee. I am certain - flower prints, animal prints, and kids flannel - OUT. :)
Again, I am so happy about the party. Gee, how long did it take for the Gilbert clan to figure out how special this birthday is for you?

I just got back from the fabric store and I DO agree on the flower print and animal print. Let me work my magic with my needle on what I have right now and then I will model them for you and send you pictures.

Let's get into the head gear biz. If you look for chemo wraps out there - OLD lady flower prints. You know a good style Bev has the pattern for is the new funky doctor surgical hats. We're all over it sister!

you also loose your nose hairs which makes your nose run.
I do have the nose run and a hairy nose. I think I am too much of a hairy beast to lose my hair. Good God. I'm cursed.
